Shiseikan Dojo, part of the Aikido World Alliance (AWA), invites you to its Annual Summer Aikido Camp in Varna, Bulgaria.
Instructors
Andrew Sato Shihan – 7th Dan
Founder and Chief Instructor of AWA, Andrew Sato Shihan has over 40 years of international teaching experience. His instruction emphasizes structure, connection, and continuity, offering depth and clarity accessible to practitioners of all levels.
Leonardo H. Sakanashi – 6th Dan
A lifelong Aikido practitioner, Leonardo Sakanashi began training at age four and now teaches seminars worldwide. His approach combines traditional form, dynamic movement, and progressive instruction suitable for beginners and advanced students alike.

Leonardo H. Sakanashi 6th Dan
Leonardo H. Sakanashi is a professional Aikido instructor who began his practice at the age of 4 at the Aikikai Sakanashi Dojo. He trained internationally, including as an uchi-deshi at New York Aikikai, and has participated in numerous high-level seminars and demonstrations worldwide, notably the All Japan Aikido Demonstration at the Budokan in Tokyo. He was awarded 6th Dan Aikido Aikikai in 2020 by Hombu Dojo. Since 2012, he has led CDA AIKIKAI and actively teaches and organizes national and international seminars across the Americas, Europe, and Japan.


Andrew M. Sato 7th Dan
Andrew Sato Shihan, 7th dan, is the Founder and Chief Instructor of the Aikido World Alliance, established in 2005. Under his leadership, the AWA has grown to more than 50 dojos worldwide and is one of the few US-based aikido organizations directly affiliated with the Aikikai Foundation in Tokyo, Japan. He regularly travels internationally to teach seminars and continues to teach at Kiku Matsu Dojo in Chicago, which he founded in 2005. Sato Shihan began his aikido training in 1977 under the late Fumio Toyoda Shihan and remains based in Chicago, where he continues his teaching activities.
